The invisible essence of the modern day photographer

Capturing the appearance of things how they are or rather how we perceive them seems to be ancient and innate.
Even though sight is only second to last to taste in the rank of what science currently considers the 5 human senses - stumbling behind smell, the strongest, hearing, the fastest, and touch, the very first thing we develop -, visual arts still managed to find their predominant place in human culture over the ages. Like the ivory towers of music or the scent of a plate of rich food, grand paintings of the past and even more grandiose sights of nature gave and continue to give us equally great heights of pleasure as well as feelings of groundedness and peace as an upcoming good meal.
From the first depictions of animals on the cave walls to the Kepler telescope seeking answers of our origin in images from distant galaxies, optics formed a centerpiece of our history by its practicality, accessibility, permanent nature to convey messages, information and feelings:

that we were here.

This is how we, Enso Studio, are thinking about our craft constantly. Modern-day photography isn’t merely a passion of ours but a mission. A mission to tip the overall scale just a tiny little bit to the good, to introduce moments in people’s lives where hardships, troubles and grievances are forgotten and their place is taken by good sensations, maybe even joy and awe triggered by our images. To be able to draw just a bit nearer to the footsteps of the old greats.
There is nothing we love more in our line of work than the genuine happiness we induce in people in front of our camera through our perception and connection utilizing a range of techniques and hard-earned experience in photography. This is the invisible essence of modern-day photography to us. The very same thing that The Fox taught The Little Prince:

purpose through meaningful connections.

We feel that discussing and constantly acting according to this mindset is particularly important nowadays and our responsibility as professionals. The amount of information and the vast variety of digital media we consume every day as well as the number of tools readily and easily accessible to everyone to snap images can be catalyzing but also detrimental to how we enjoy visual arts. We are in constant sensory overdrive, which makes it especially challenging to stay true to the profession, to never cease striving for creating truly unique and captivating results that can breach the thresholds of our senses.
This gives us purpose and motivation to stay relentless, to provide outstanding and uncompromising results at all times, to always push the boundaries and constantly reinvent ourselves. To act as an effective conduit, to channel all that makes our time here better:

a sense of belonging, wonder and revere.
